Taneesh Kaur is a poet, painter, and educator of East Indian descent, based in the Bay Area. She is a social justice advocate who uses nature to understand and dismantle systems of mental and physical oppression. Their poetry has appeared in the San Francisco Public Library's Poem of the Day series, Lake County's The Bloom, and was longlisted for the 2021 Frontier Poetry OPEN prize. They write essays on politics, education, linguistics, literature, and other topics, and have a Master's in linguistics from San Francisco State University, with training abroad in Mexico and Chile.
