We are thrilled to welcome Diana Gitesha Hernández to our Wednesday series of ten-minute live Zoom readings.

Each Wednesday in June, George showcases contributors to the
NYC from the Inside anthology (Blue Light Press, 2022)

The readings will be streamed live to our facebook page and you may also register to watch directly on Zoom. Registration for Zoom viewing is available through Eventbrite. Please register before 7:15 pm on the day of the event.

Diana Gitesha Hernández, aka Gitesha is an NYC poet, bred in Brooklyn, born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, and longtime resident of Loisada, Manhattan. Hernández, a multi-media performance artist, poet, jazz singer and drum percussionist, is the author of several collections of poetry: Slingshot Luv (1985); Love Poems from a Nuyorican Princess Dreaming of Rimbaud (1994); Raw Lips Melao, a Nuyorican Rhapsody (2004); Mango PI (2008); I Am a Muse (2012) and Hot Steam (2018). Her poetry has been published in Aloud!; Voices from the Nuyorican Poets Cafe anthology, and Breaking Ground, an anthology of Puerto Rican Women Writers in New York 1980-2012. Her bands – Gitesha’s Jazz Boogaloo (Latin), Orgasmic Orchestra (word distillery) and Soulful Distancing (jazz) performs regularly in NYC
