Julie Bolt is an educator of 30 years and a professor of English the last 16 years at Bronx Community College/CUNY. She is the author of the book Border Pedagogy of Democratic Practice. She writes essays and poetry and is published in journals such as Radical Teacher, Slow Trains, and Red River Review. She is currently an Andrew Mellon Transformative Learning in the Humanities Fellow.
Kate Lutzner is the author of Invitation to a Rescue (Poet Republik Limited, 2016). Her poems and stories have appeared in Antioch Review, Mississippi Review, The Brooklyn Rail, BlazeVOX, Rattle, and other journals. Lutzner holds a JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MFA from The City College of New York. She lives in Brooklyn.
