2017 Poetry Out Loud National Champion Samara Elán Huggins is an artist and poet who exists to share stories, to express emotions and to offer advice. She strives to write what she feels, to write what you feel, and to write what the world feels but cannot say. Her favorite poets include John Berryman, Nikki Giovanni, and T.S. Eliot. When she is not writing or reciting poetry, Samara gardens and studies various languages.

Adriana Scopino is a graduate of Drew University's Master of Fine Arts in Poetry and Poetry in Translation program. A chapbook of her poetry, Let Me Be Like Glass, was published by Exot Books.
