Eating canaries, a woman's role and finite truths

Hello all in literature's your friends at great weather and we are here to talk a little bit about Deborah Hauser's poem "Figuratively Speaking" from the anthology "It's animal but merciful".  She says, "Black outs are not lady like", in a world constructed to give instruction to a woman.  Well Deborah says fuck that and swallows that canary whole, ain't no one gonna tell her what script she is supposed to be acting her life out in.  A very empowering piece with some nice cartoon and abstract elements to give it that art flavor we so cherish here at this press.  "Truth is not a finite number."  Deborah Hauser is a finite truth.  You should pick up the anthology and find out why.

Deborah will also be one of our featured readers this Saturday at our anthology launch at Lolita's bar NYC 266 Broome St. October 27th from 5-7.

And remember if you buy the anthology that night you get a free drink.
